TCP/IP usage

Message Networking supports the following TCP/IP messaging protocols:

  • INTUITY AUDIX Digital (AUDIX Digital)
  • Octel 250-350 message servers with Octel Digital networking (Aria Digital)
  • Octel 200-300 message servers with Octel Digital networking (Serenade Digital)
  • VPIMv2 (Voice Profile Internet Mail)
  • SMTP/MIME

In addition, Message Networking supports:

  • LDAP-based subscriber directory updates between Message Networking and Avaya Modular Messaging with Avaya Message Store systems.
  • Remote LDAP server access, which supports:
    • Customer synchronization of the Message Networking Directory with other general
      enterprise directories (personnel directories)
    • Third-party reporting applications to gain access to the Message Networking subscriber
      directory
    • Email client searches of employees within an enterprise
