A new security and support alert from Hewlett-Packard has been issued regarding HP-UX running ftpd.

TITLE: HPSBUX02092 SSRT5971 rev.1 - HP-UX Running ftpd Remote Denial of Service (DoS)
SUMMARY: A potential security vulnerability has been identified with HP-UX running ftpd. The vulnerability could be exploited by a remote unauthorized user to cause ftpd to become unresponsive, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
AFFECTED SOFTWARE:This vulnerability affects HP-UX B.11.23, HP-UX B.11.11, HP-UX B.11.04, and HP-UX B.11.00

Certain versions of the Avaya(tm) Predictive Dialer System (PDS) are affected by this vulnerability.
