A new security and support alert from Hewlett-Packard has been issued regarding Apache described as follows.

TITLE: HPSBUX02074 SSRT051251 - Apache-based Web Server on HP-UX mod_ssl, proxy_http, Remote Execution of Arbitrary Code, Denial of Service (DoS), and Unauthorized Access
IMPACT: Remote execution of arbitrary code, Denial of Service (DoS), and unauthorized access.
SUMMARY: Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified with Apache running on HP-UX. These vulnerability could be exploited remotely to allow execution of arbitrary code, Denial of Service (DoS), or unauthorized access.
AFFECTED SOFTWARE: HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.11, and B.11.23 running Apache-based Web Server prior to v.2.0.55

The Common Vulnerabilities and Exploits project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the names CVE-2005-2491, CVE-2005-1268, CVE-2005-2728, and CVE-2005-2088 to these issues.
