Summary: A potential security vulnerability has been identified in
HP-UX
running swagentd. The vulnerability could be exploited remotely by an
unauthenticated user to cause swagentd to abort resulting in a Denial of
Service
(DoS).
Affected Versions: HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.04, B.11.11 running swagentd
Some Avaya Predictive Dialer v12 Systems (PDS v12) run a vulnerable version of swagent. Systems with SP4 are not vulnerable as patch PHCO_28847 was included in SP4, which mitigates the vulnerability. PDS v12 systems without SP4 should follow the recommended actions in the table below.
