Avaya System Products using a Sun Microsystems Operating System:
Avaya system products include an Operating System with the product when it is delivered. The Avaya Call Management System (CMS) and the Avaya Interactive Response (IR) are both shipped with an operating system from Sun Microsystems. Actions to be taken on those products are described below.

Follow the recommended actions for the products listed below. This advisory will be updated as additional information becomes available.

Avaya CMS V9, V11, R12, R13/R13.1 Low This vulnerability must be exploited by a local user, and most CMS users are not given access to a Solaris shell, making this vulnerability a low level risk. Sun patch 109147-42 is approved for CMS V9 and V11 systems. Sun patch 112963-29 is approved for CMS R12, R13/R13.1 systems. Avaya recommends installing these patches.
Avaya IR IR 1.3 2.0 Solaris 8 Solaris 10 Low Patch 109147-43 is approved for Solaris 8. Avaya recommends waiting to install this patch until the next patch cluster is available. No patch is presently available for Solaris 10 from Sun.
