The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the names CVE-2008-1188, CVE-2008-1189, CVE-2008-1190 and CVE-2008-1191 to these issues.
Avaya system products include an Operating System with the product when it is delivered. Avaya Call Management System (CMS) and Avaya Interactive Response (IR) are both shipped with an operating system from Sun Microsystems. Actions to be taken on those products are described below.

To reduce the likelihood of executing untrusted applications which may allow these issues to be exploited, Java Web Start applications may be disabled temporarily (until the updates or patches have been installed), follow the workarounds as detailed in the Sun alert.
