Windowns 2003 updates for MM 5.2.1

I’m looking for information on suggested or (best practices) for running Windows 2003 updates on the MAS, WEB and Tracing servers. I have been told that Avaya has a (best practices) for which updates NOT to install as they may cause problems with the MM operation. Is this true?

According the the security update document (http://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/mm_r3_1/sp_policy_11_2007.pdf). Avaya no longer maintains a security patch master list for modular messaging. Microsoft security updates should be applied as they become available. Avaya will assist with any problems that might arise as the result of a security patch from Microsoft.

Service Pack updates and new versions of operating systems must still be certified by Avaya.
