ip rip advertise-when-down enable (Ethernet Interface Configuration)

Enables RIP advertisements for an interface even when the link to the network fails. The switch continues to advertise the subnet even if that particular network is no longer connected (no link in the enabled VLAN). This feature only functions on enabled interfaces.

Syntax

ip rip [port <port>] advertise-when-down enable
default ip rip [port <port>] advertise-when-down enable
no ip rip [port <port>] advertise-when-down enable
