1. Overview:

Avaya Equinox® Conferencing delivers an all-inclusive solution for voice, video and desktop sharing. This solution is now offered as Avaya Meetings® Server.

An XML External Entities (XXE) vulnerability in Media Server component of Avaya Equinox® Conferencing (Equinox Conferencing is now Avaya Meetings® Server) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to gain read access to information that is stored on an affected system or even potentially lead to a denial of service. CVE-2020-7037 is assigned for this vulnerability.

A vulnerability was discovered in Management component of Avaya Equinox® Conferencing (Equinox Conferencing is now Avaya Meetings® Server) that could potentially allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain access to screen sharing and whiteboard sessions on a live meeting. CVE-2020-7038 is assigned for this vulnerability.

Avaya Equinox® Conferencing is now offered as Avaya Meetings® Server.

Recommended Actions for Products:
Avaya strongly recommends following networking and security best practices by implementing firewalls, ACLs, physical security or other appropriate access restrictions. Though Avaya believes such restrictions should always be in place, risk to Avaya products and the surrounding network from this potential vulnerability may be mitigated by ensuring these practices are implemented until such time as an Avaya provided product update or the recommended Avaya action is applied. Further restrictions as deemed necessary based on the customer's security policies may be required during this interim period, but the System Product operating system or application should not be modified unless the change is approved by Avaya. Making changes that are not approved may void the Avaya product service contract.
