Installing the PARTNER Messaging Module

The physical installation of the PARTNER Messaging module varies depending on the PARTNER communications system.

	The information in this section is intended for qualified technicians only. To prevent damage to PARTNER Messaging, you must power down the communications system before installing or removing the PARTNER Messaging module. Do NOT perform a "hot swap."

The PARTNER Messaging module is usually installed to the right of the last line/extension module to ensure numerical continuity for extensions in the communications system dial plan. There is no required order for module installation in the communications system carrier, other than the processor module in the first slot (except for the PARTNER communications system 5-slot carrier where the processor module is installed in the center slot).

Select the carrier appropriate for your installation:

• 2-slot carrier
• 5-slot carrier

Once you install the PARTNER Messaging module you must prepare the communications system, program PARTNER Messaging, and then perform additional communications system programming. See Programming Overview.
