Available in Release 7.0 or later, you can program up to four customized Directory Lists that you assign to a Submenu for use in programming a Day and Night Main Menu. Once assigned to a Submenu, the Directory List (referred to as a Directory Submenu) becomes a playable directory providing the name and associated extension number of every member in the list. The name must be recorded for the name and extension to be heard when the Directory Submenu plays. (Note, however, that when you administer the Directory List, you will hear all names and extensions that you have included in the list, even if a name has not been recorded for the extension.) Once you or the Mailbox owner record a name, the name and extension is heard when the Submenu prompt plays. When extensions are deleted from the system through extension administration, each Directory List is automatically updated. New extensions must be added to applicable Directory Lists.
In addition to the four Directory Lists, PARTNER Messaging automatically creates and maintains a system-wide Directory List (which is automatically assigned to Submenu 99). You can program Directory Lists by adding individual extensions to the new Directory List, one at a time, or by copying the system-wide Directory list to the new Directory List and then deleting unwanted extensions.
Refer to PARTNER Messaging Planning Form 7 - System Group and Directory Lists for the information required to program the Directory Lists.
