This section describes procedures for upgrading PARTNER Messaging port licensing to another supported configuration; that is a 2-port configuration to a 4-port configuration, or a 4-port configuration to a 6-port configuration.
Port licensing can be upgraded without powering off the communications system. The communications system remains powered on. The old Port Card is removed and new Port Card is installed quickly. PARTNER Messaging restarts in the new configuration.
