Day Main Menu

Check this box if this script is for a Day Main Menu. Also specify the Automated Attendant Number (1-4) for which you are creating the script.

Night Main Menu

Check this box if this script is for a submenu. Also specify the Submenu Number (1-98) for which you are creating the script. In Release 7.0 or later, Submenu 99 is automatically created and plays the system-wide Directory List.

Announcement

This field allows you to indicate the contents of the prompt for the Day Main Menu, Night Main Menu, submenu, or announcement. Each Day Main Menu, Night Main Menu, and submenu prompt can be up to two minutes in length. Each announcement can be up to four minutes in length.

• Create a script that identifies the department, person, or type of information that the caller should receive when he/she chooses a Selector Code from the Day/Night Main Menu or the submenu.
• A Day/Night Main Menu prompt should include a greeting.
• If the system is in Bilingual Mode, the Primary Language Main Menu prompt should tell the caller to press to hear prompts in the Secondary Language.

• Create a script containing the information the caller should receive after hearing an announcement from a Main Menu or submenu.
• You can include instructions to:
  • Press to play the announcement again.
  • Press to return to the previous menu.
  • Press to return to the Main Menu.
  • Press for the Dial 0/Timeout Action.
  • Press to transfer to an extension.
• After the announcement is played, the system waits five seconds. If the caller makes no response within five seconds, the call is disconnected.
