Enabling core file generation

Use this page to specify core file generation details for the Messaging system. Depending on the settings on this page, core files are created when the Messaging program terminates unexpectedly due to a bug. You can use the core files to find out what went wrong. The core file contains a detailed description of the program state when the core file generation was terminated.

Procedure

On the Administration menu, click Messaging > Advanced (Application) > Core Files.
For Core File Generation, select one of the following:
- To enable core file generation, select enabled.
- To disable core file generation, select disabled.
Enter a value in the Max Core File Size field.
Enter a value in the Max Cores Per Application field.
Click Apply.
