Sending a test trap

Use the SNMP Test Web page to send a test trap to the configured SNMP trap receiver or receivers.

Note

When you request a test trap, ensure that the configured SNMP Trap receivers have received the test trap.

CAUTION

The default firewall setup allows outgoing SNMP traps. However, this test may be invalid if the firewall has been altered in a way that doesn't allow outgoing SNMP traps.

Procedure

On the Administration menu, click Server (Maintenance) > Alarms > SNMP Test.
To send a test trap, click Generate Test Trap.
