Viewing backup logs

When you back up data, the system creates an image as a tar file that contains information, such as the type of data sets that were backed up, whether the backup was successful, and how the data was recorded. Use the Backup Logs Web page to verify the success or failure of a backup.

Procedure

On the Administration menu, click Server (Maintenance) > Data Backup/Restore > Backup Logs.
On the Backup Logs Web page, scroll through the log for the backup image that you want to preview or restore. To select the log, click the radio button to the left of the image.
If no entries exist in the backup log, you will see a message that there is no record of any backup.
Click View.
The system displays the View/Restore Data Results Web page.
Enter the Username and Password for file transfer settings.
Click Preview.
