Web Access Mask

The Messaging Web Access Mask page specifies:
  • The Messaging server Web pages a user may gain access to.

  • The type of access to each Web page available to a user. Only those Web pages that the profile permits appear on the menu when the user assigned the profile accesses the Web interface.

  • The read or read and write access for every Web page available to a user.

The system uses numbers 0 to 69 to identify the Web profile that corresponds to a Linux group.
  • In Messaging, the Web profile numbers 0 to 19 correspond to the fixed profiles. Profiles 0 to 3, 18, and 19 are built into Messaging, and you cannot edit these profile numbers.

  • Profiles numbers 0 to 3 and 18 are members of the Linux group: susers. Logins that are members of the susers Linux group and profile 18, which is the profile group prof18, can gain access to all the possible Web pages except those that allow software installation or removal.

  • Profile number 19 is a member of the Linux group: users. Logins that are members of the users Linux group and profile 19, which is the profile group prof19, can only gain access to a subset of the Web pages.

  • Profile numbers 4 to 17 are unused. The system reserves these numbers for future use.

  • Profile numbers 20 to 69 are for customized profiles. The customer can select a profile of choice and assign this number.
