Checking the RAID battery status

For a successful upgrade, you must check the RAID battery status of the server before you upgrade Messaging.

To check the RAID battery status, the system must be running on System Platform 6.0.3.9.3. If you are running an older version of System Platform, either upgrade to System Platform 6.0.3.9.3 or contact Avaya Services to verify the RAID battery status.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the System Platform Web Console. For more information, see Logging in to the System Platform Web Console.
  2. Click Server Management > Log Viewer.
  3. From the Messages heading, select System Logs.
  4. From the Log Level heading, select Alert.
  5. Click Search.
  6. The search result displays the alerts generated by System Platform.

    • If you see any of the following alerts, contact Avaya services: O_AVDM10102: RAID battery capacity too low and O_AVDM10101: RAID current setting is write through.

    • If there are no alerts for RAID battery, continue with the upgrade process.
