Enabling core file generation

Use the Core Files Web page to specify core file generation details for the Messaging system. Depending on the settings on this page, the system creates core files when the Messaging program ends unexpectedly due to a bug.

Use the core files to find out what went wrong. The core file contains a detailed description of the program state when the system ends the core file generation.

Procedure

  1. On the Administration menu, click Messaging > Advanced (Application) > Core Files.
  2. To enable core file generation, select enabled.
  3. Enter a value in the Max Core File Size field.
  4. Enter a value in the Max Cores Per Application field.
  5. Click Apply.

    The system saves the settings.
