Upgrading the Messaging single-server configuration

Before you begin

Complete the steps listed as Prerequisites.

Procedure

  1. Backup the System Platform configuration information. For more information, see Backing up System Platform.
  2. Back up the Messaging system files. For more information, see Backing up system files.
  3. Upgrade the System Platform software. For more information, see Upgrading System Platform.
  4. Install the latest System Platform patches. For more information, see Patch installation overview.
  5. Upgrade the Messaging system. For more information, see Upgrading the Messaging system.
  6. Install the latest Communication Manager patches. For more information, see Patch installation overview.
  7. Install the latest Messaging patches. For more information, see Patch installation overview.
  8. Install the language packs. For more information, see Installing language pack.
  9. Migrate the dial plan data. For more information, see Migrating dial plan data.
  10. Set operator (live attendant) properties. For more information, see Setting operator (live attendant) properties.
  11. Reload application server cache. For more information, see Reloading application server cache.
  12. Install the voice message form. For more information, see Installing the voice message form.
