Verifying System Platform upgrade

Procedure

  1. Log on to the System Platform Web Console. For more information, see Logging in to the System Platform Web Console.
  2. On the Commit/Rollback page, verify the following:
    1. The server successfully booted up to the new platform version.
    2. No image or kernel faults occurred during the upgrade. Otherwise, System Platform automatically rolls back into its prior version and the Rollback Acknowledge page appears.
    3. No problems occurred in LDAP storage.
  3. Click Virtual Machine Management > Manage. On the Virtual Machine List page, verify that the Domain–0 and Console Domain (cdom) versions are identical to the version of your System Platform upgrade.
  4. Click Server Management > System Configuration. On the System Configuration page, verify that all the system configuration information is accurate. This action performs a quick check for accuracy of system configuration information carried forward during the platform upgrade.
  5. Click Server Management > Date/Time Configuration. On the Date / Time Configuration page, verify that the Date and time are correct as configured. This action performs a quick sanity check on the NTP protocol, date, and time configuration.
  6. Click Server Management > Backup/Restore > Restore. On the Restore page, view the latest backup information. A successful backup during platform upgrade should result in a file visible at this location.
  7. Click Server Management > Network Configuration. On the Network Configuration page, verify that all network configuration values are correct as configured.
  8. Click Server Management > License management and launch the WebLM License Manager. Login to WebLM portal to verify that all template virtual machine license files are still valid.
