Problem description

{0} - The Media Server that failed to respond.

The Media Server did not respond to multiple polling requests.

Proposed Solution

Procedure

  1. Verify that the Media Server is running properly.
  2. Verify that the Media Server can be pinged from the EPM.
  3. Review the log file for Media Server errors that might have occurred before the Media Server stopped responding to the polls.
  4. If the Media Server is running, manually restart the Media Server, and then wait for the poll.
  5. If the Media Server does not respond:
    1. Turn off Server Identity Verification, if enabled.
    2. Verify the Media Server certificate details.
    3. Reboot the Media Server, and wait for the poll.
    4. Restart the EPM, and wait for the poll.
    5. Reinstall the Media Server, accept the Media Server certificate, and wait for the poll.
    Note:

    Re-enable Server Identity Validation if required.
