SMPP Connections tab on SMS page field descriptions

Use this page to add, modify, and delete SMPP connections.

Field or Button

Description

Zones filter icon

To filter zones, click this icon located at the right side of the page. The system opens the Zone filter window for selecting one or more zones.

	Note:
	The Zones filter icon only appears when you create new zones. If you do not create any new zones, you do not see the icon.

Selection check box

Select this box to delete SMPP connections.

Zone

The name of the zone.

Name

Name of the SMPP connection.

Enable

The options are:

Transport Protocol

The transport protocol that is used to send a request to SMSC.

The options are:

Host Address

IP address of the service provider or the Short Message Service Center (SMSC).

SMS Processor

The name of the associated SMS processor.

Port

Port number used by the SMSC.

Bind Mode

The options are:

Transceiver: The user can send SMS and get the delivery receipt.
Transmitter: The user can only send SMS. The user does not get any delivery receipts.
Receiver: The user can only receive an SMS.

Short Code/ Long Number

Organization

The From field can be either set to a short code or to a complete number.

The system also displays the organizations for each short code.

Add button

Opens the Add SMPP Connection page

Delete button

Deletes the selected SMPP connection.
