SMS Settings page field descriptions

Use this page to configure system parameters for the SMS system.

General Section
Field or Button	Description
Maximum Message Length	By default, this length is set to 960 bytes.
Log Level	The level at which the event logs are generated and sent to the Primary EPM. Select one of the following parameters from the drop-down list box: None Info Warning Error Fatal The default is Info.
Record Handling on SMS	The combo box contains the following records: Session Data (SDR) — The parameters are: Enable: Use this selection check box to enable or disable SDR. Retention Period (days) : Specify the retention period of the SDR in this field. The default is 14. Call Data (CDR) — The parameters are: Enable: Use this selection check box to enable or disable the CDR. Retention Period (days) : Specify the retention period of the CDR in this field. The default is 14.

Categories and Trace Levels section
Field or Button	Description
Trace level settings buttons	The level at which traces are generated locally on the SMS server. The trace level is modifiable at the component level. The options are : Off: Sets trace level of all categories to Off. Fine: Sets trace levels of all categories to Fine. Finer: Sets trace levels of all categories to Finer. Finest: Sets trace levels of all categories to Finest. The default is Fine.
SMS Processor	The options are: Off: Sets trace level of all categories to Off. Fine: Sets trace levels of all categories to Fine. Finer: Sets trace levels of all categories to Finer. Finest: Sets trace levels of all categories to Finest. The default is Fine.
SMS Browser	The options are: Off: Sets trace level of all categories to Off. Fine: Sets trace levels of all categories to Fine. Finer: Sets trace levels of all categories to Finer. Finest: Sets trace levels of all categories to Finest. The default is Fine.
