Upgrading a Media Processing Platform (MPP) on Avaya Enterprise Linux

About this task

This topic provides information about the tasks that you must perform to upgrade an MPP server.

Before you begin

Verify that the prerequisites have been met. For more information, see Software upgrade prerequisites overview for upgrading to Experience Portal.

Procedure

  1. Change the state of the MPP to offline.

    For more information, see Taking an MPP offline using the EPM web interface.

  2. Upgrade Avaya Enterprise Linux on the MPP server.

    For more information, see Upgrading Avaya Enterprise Linux from the software installation DVD or Upgrading Avaya Enterprise Linux using an ISO image file.

  3. Upgrade the MPP to Avaya Experience Portal 8.1.

    For more information, see Upgrading the MPP software.

  4. Log on to the EPM web interface.
  5. Navigate to the MPP Manager page, and change the mode of the MPP to Online.
  6. On the MPP Manager page, click Start to start the MPP server.
