Applications page field descriptions

Use this page to:

View information about the speech applications currently deployed on the Experience Portal system
Add new applications to the system
Change the settings for an existing application
Change the order in which the applications are launched when a call comes in
View and configure the configurable application variables of an Orchestration Designer, VXML, and CCXML/VXML applications, and email and SMS applications.

Note:

You cannot configure the configurable application variables for a pure CCXML application.

Description

Launch Order

Opens the Application Launch Order window to view and change the application launch order of Inbound applications.

	Note:
	Experience Portal takes application priority into account if you have specified two or more applications whose assigned inbound called numbers or URIs overlap. When a call comes in that could be handled by one or more applications, Experience Portal launches applications in the order that they appear in the Application Launch Order window.

Selection check box

Indicates which applications you want to delete.

Zones filter icon

To filter zones, click this icon located at the right side of the page. The system opens the Zone filter window for selecting one or more zones.

Zone

The name of the zones where the applications are configured. EP supports only one Inbound Default application per zone per launch type.

Name

The names of all speech applications and email and SMS applications that are administered on the system.

	Note:
	Once you save the application, this name cannot be changed.

Click the name to open the Change Application page.

Enable

Whether this application is available for use by the Experience Portal system.

Type

The options are:

VoiceXML
CCXML
CCXML/VoiceXML

Avaya Breeze™ SMS

Note:

Sending an SMS to this type of application causes the EPM to send an event with Message as the Event Family and INCOMING_SMS as the Event Type to the Breeze system that is specified on the Data Storage Settings page. This type of incoming event causes any workflow that is configured on the Breeze system to start. For details, refer to the Avaya Breeze® platform and Avaya Engagement Designer documentation.

CCXML(BNMS)

Note:

CCXML(BNMS) type is for RFC 4240 (Support for Network Announcements in SIP). Where, BNMS implies Basic Network Media Services for SIP.

URI

The Universal Resource Indicator (URI), or full HTTP path, to the root document of the application.

Launch

The options are:

The inbound URI or one or more telephone numbers that are assigned to this application. If the assigned numbers for two or more applications overlap, Experience Portal launches the application that appears first on this page.
Inbound Default: This application handles all inbound calls made to a number that is not associated with any other application.
Outbound: This application handles outbound calls.
Email: This application handles email messages.
SMS: This application handles all SMS messages.

	Note:
	The Inbound Default option is available for MPP, Email, and SMS media servers.

ASR

If Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is configured for the application, the column displays the following:

The selected languages for the ASR.
The selected option for handling of speech resources.

If no ASR is configured for the application, the column displays No ASR.

TTS

If Text-to-Speech (TTS) is configured for the application, the column displays the voices selected for TTS.

If no TTS is configured for the application, the column displays No TTS.

Requested SIP Calls

Displays if SIP ports are reserved for an application. The values are:

None: No SIP ports are reserved for the application, and a call is answered only if there are free SIP ports available.
Minimum: The application supports the minimum number of simultaneous calls. Once the minimum number is reached and a new call arrives, the call is answered only if there are free SIP ports available.
Maximum: The application supports the specified number of simultaneous calls. Once the maximum number is reached and a new call arrives, the call is rejected even if there are free SIP ports available.

Configurable Application Variables

Opens a page that displays the configurable application variable defined in the application. You can use this page to change these configurable application variables.

Add

Opens the Add Application page.

Delete

Deletes the selected applications.

Clear MPP Cache

Clears the Voice Browser cache on the MPPs.

If you have configured additional zones on the system, you can click this button to select one or more zones in a pop-up window. The system clears the cache on the MPPs in the selected zones.

	Note:
	The pop-up window displays only those zones on which MPPs are configured.

Global CAVs

Allows the administrator to add, modify and delete user defined global configurable application variables (CAVs). CAVs are system wide variables that are not specific to any particular application or zone.

	Note:
	You cannot configure the configurable application variables for a pure CCXML application.
