Critical.

Description

An internal software error occurred when describing channel characteristics to the Resource Manager. The identified channel is unusable.

Repair procedure

To correct the problem:

  1. If the error is EINVAL, take these actions:
    1. Check the system to make sure that the number of cards installed is a legal configuration.
    2. If too many channels are configured, the EINVAL error may occur. See Feature Licensing for more information.

    3. Renumber the voice channels.
  2. If the problem persists, or if the error is not EINVAL:
    1. Stop the voice system.
    2. Start the voice system.
  3. If the problem still persists, reboot the operating system.
  4. Contact your Avaya support representative if rebooting does not resolve the problem.
