Alarm level

None.

Description

A FAX print operation failed. The information about the FAX print is specified in the message text.

Repair procedures

First, make sure that the remote FAX is not busy or out of paper. Then, troubleshoot based on the message text. Refer to the table below.

FAXLOOPBACK

Due to mail loop prevention, a FAX may not be transmitted to another line on the same system.

Forward the message to the other user rather than sending it.

FAX_STOPPING

The phone line connection may have been abruptly disconnected in the middle of the FAX sessions.

Resend.

FILEACCESS

There was a problem reading or writing the disk.

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported.

FTT

(Indicates failure to train at any and all rates.)

PROTOCOLTIMEOUT

(Indicates failure to send 300-baud messages.)

PROTOCOLERR (T.30 error)

The phone line conditions (noise in the line) may have prevented a FAX from being sent or the remote FAX machine may not conform to international FAX standards.

Resend. If the FAX cannot be resent, check protocol issues.

INVALID

A bad subroutine argument was used.

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported.

LATEQUEUE

FAX session completed before the file queued.

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported.

NOPROTOCOL

 

 

The number dialed may not have been a FAX machine. The message indicates that the fax transmission never connected to the remote machine.

Dial the number manually to see if there is fax tone.

NORESOURCES

The IR system was out of memory at fax processing.

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported, or the IR system is overloaded.

SLOTBUSY

The time slot was not available.

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported.

SYSERROR

There was an operating system problem

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported.

TIFFFORMAT

The FAX file format is unsupported.

A fault has occurred in the software and should be reported.

UNCLEAN_EXIT

The process died.
