Description

The speech configuration file, /vs/data/spchconfig, is unreadable or has an invalid, duplicate, or missing entry. Until the problem is resolved, the IR system will use default values, maximum allowable phrases, or both for missing or invalid entries for the numbers of speech buffer. For duplicate entries, the first value is used. The default numbers may be unsatisfactory could cause:

Repair procedure

To correct the problem:

  1. Enter display chan all to determine if the number of speech buffers configured in the system is sufficient to handle the current load.
  2. The system displays a channel state table.

  3. Enter cat /vs/data/spchconfig to determine the number of speech buffers currently configured in the system.
  4. The system displays an nbufs and max_phrases table.

  5. If the nbufs parameter is insufficient, change the nbufs parameter to the desired number in the /vs/data/spchconfig file.
  6. If you have changed the nbufs parameter, stop and start the voice system.
