Description

The FAX transmission occuring at the time that the error was reported failed. There has been an illegal transition. A FAX was being sent to or received from a FAX machine that does not meet international FAX standards, or the circuit card may be experiencing a hardware problem.

Repair procedure

To fix the problem:

1. Note the brand and model number of the FAX machine.
2. Divert FAX traffic to another FAX machine.
3. If the problem cannot be traced to the fax machine go to the Display Equipment screen (Configuration Management > Voice Equipment > Display Equipment) to check the state of the card.
4. If the card is not in service, try to restore the card or contact your Avaya support representative.
