Description
The FAX transmission occuring at the time that the error was reported failed. There has been an illegal transition. A FAX was being sent to or received from a FAX machine that does not meet international FAX standards, or the circuit card may be experiencing a hardware problem.
Repair procedure
To fix the problem:
- Note the brand and model number of the FAX machine.
- Divert FAX traffic to another FAX machine.
- If the problem cannot be traced to the fax machine go to the Display Equipment screen (Configuration Management > Voice Equipment > Display Equipment) to check the state of the card.
- If the card is not in service, try to restore the card or contact your Avaya support representative.
