Only Oracle 8i or 9i can be installed locally on the Avaya IR system. The Oracle software is a third-party package that must be purchased from Oracle or one of its vendors separately from the Avaya IR system.
Unlike previous versions of IVR systems (such as CONVERSANT), Avaya does provide Oracle as part of the Avaya IR packages.
Locally installed Oracle database management systems use the JDBC feature to interface with the Avaya IR system.
