You can install CM Messaging software on an S8300C, S8300D, S8400A, S8400B, S8500C, or S8510 Server. The CM Messaging is installed with Communication Manager software as the platform. The messaging software uses information sent
from the Communication Manager server to answer telephone calls and also sends information
back to the Communication Manager server.

Parameters
CM Messaging supports many of the same
country switch tone parameter sets established for the Communication Manager server.
The countries for which country-specific parameters are established

Tone Customization
The switch administrator may change tone parameters on
the switch, usually because a DCS network exists between switches in
different countries and the company wants the phones to behave the same
way, regardless of location. If the the switch administrator customizes
tone parameters for a country on the switch, you can also customize
them on the messaging system to correspond to the changes made on
the switch.
