EFC Server

The NetFlow and SFlow data are collected by the efcserver process whereas the SPAN data is collected by the monitord processes is sent to the CNA efcserver. The efcserver process maintains the data in a prefix table, which tracks data per prefix, and an active-measurements table, which tracks individual addresses that are sent to active-measurement groups to be used as probe targets.

Data contained in these tables is made visible through the show efc command. You can clear the data in these tables using the clear efc active-measurement and clear efc prefix commands.

NOTE: The term netflow is used by Avaya to refer to both the Netflow process on a router and the CNA process that monitors the incoming data stream. The CNA process that monitors SPAN data is called monitor in the CNA CLI and flow-monitor in Medic reports.

The Avaya EFC module requires version 5 or version 7 Netflow packets.
