BGP Status
The state of the BGP peering can be one of three values:
- up--the link is considered to be usable by the CNA decision maker process
- down--the BGP peering is considered down by the CNA decision maker process, triggering an analysis of the interface status
- unknown--action taken by the CNA decision maker process depends on whether you have added the require-bgp-snmp-poll command to the CNA configuration
- if the require-bgp-snmp-poll command is enabled and peering status has been reported as unknown for a user-determined number of times (configured by the polling bgp-status unknown-threshold command) plus one consecutively, the link will be classified in an unknown state and the link will not be considered a winner-set candidate.
- if the require-bgp-snmp-poll command is disabled, the decision maker process will base its determination of link status on the interface evaluation process
