Speech Navigator View

The Speech Navigator view, the default Eclipse view when working with Dialog Designer, provides multiple hierarchical views of the resources in the Dialog Designer speech project.

Since the Eclipse Navigator View can get quite busy for application developers "explore" resources and code elements scattered across many different speech applications, Dialog Designer has developed this view navigator. The Speech Navigator helps application developers remain focussed while exploring and navigating across the code base.

This view can be accessed by selecting Window > Show View > Other... > Dialog Designer > Speech Navigator. A new hierarchical application view tab is displayed, showing all your applications. At the tabs toolbar area a number of icons that provide the following functionality:

In the Speech Navigator, the developer can:

For any group of resources (grammars, phrases, phrasesets, prompts), the resource group can be expanded to show the actual resources of same type. When right clicking on a resource, and selecting Properties, a context-sensitive properties window (specific to the resource type) is displayed.

By clicking on the <down arrow>, and selecting Customize view (for the view that is displayed), the developer can further tune the view with a number of options.
