	Tomcat Preferences

The Tomcat Preferences panel provides settings that determine how Dialog Designer works with the Apache Tomcat servlet engine during simulations. To set the Tomcat preferences to work properly with Dialog Designer, Click Preferences > Tomcat and configure the following settings:

Tomcat version - Select the Tomcat version that you are running.

Tomcat home - path to the Tomcat software, enter it in the field. Or, click Browse to navigate to the directory where Tomcat is installed.

Context files - path to the Contexts directory.

Important:

Do not run the runtimeconfig on your ADE. If you do, connection timeout exceptions will occur. To recover, stop Tomcat, stop Dialog Designer, restart Dialog Designer, and change your configuration in preferences.

Note:

If more than one Java SDK is installed, then the Tomcat JVM Settings preferences option must be set to JRE1.5.x. JRE1.5.x needs to be available in Java before it can be selected in the Tomcat JVM Settings.
