	Use of Variables in Dialog Designer

Variables in Dialog Designer applications can be used, among other things, to:

Contain data for processing or manipulation

Hold information about audio file locations

Pass data to and from other modules or applications

Receive data from or pass data to other connected systems, such as the Avaya Interaction Center (IC) or computer telephony integration (CTI) systems

Variables can be set to be null

Tip:

When naming variables, do not use a "__VP" prefix which has been reserved for VP4.1 (and later) deployments. Do not use this prefix given the possible risk of applications executing incorrectly or reporting incorrectly if there is a name duplication.
