You need to have the Voice Portal Configurable Application Variables pluggable connector enabled (see Pluggable Connectors Tab)

Purpose

The value of the VP Configurable Complex Variable is administered through the VPMS interface. The idea is that the same application that uses the variable can be deployed on different sites in an enterprise. The behavior of the application can be changed adminstratively to accomodate the local specifics.

Behavior

The VP Configurable Complex Variable is an extension to the Simple Variable, thus it inherits the same behavior in the Variable Editor. When used in the application, you can only access its value, but not modify it. The value of the variable is being administered in the VPMS interface. The value get retrieved from VPMS in runtime everytime it is updated.

Properties

• Name - The name you want to use to identify the variable.

• Display Name - This name will show as a Field label in the VPMS adminstrative screen. If it is empty, the variable name will be used instead.

• Access Level - The level of access to the variable enforced by VPMS. Possible values are: 1, 2, or 3. The default value is 1.

• Data Type - VPMS uses this to validate input values. This has the enumeration of String, Integer, Float, Date, Time, Date Time and Audio File. The default value is String.

• Min. Length, Max. Length - Dynamic properties that show up when String is selected for the Data Type. They are used for validating value inputs in VPMS.

• Min. Value, Max. Value - Dynamic properties that show up when Integer or Flat is selected for Data Type. They are used for validating inputs in VPMS.

• Date Format, Time Format - Dynamic properties that show up when Date, Time, or Date Time is selected for Data Type. They are used for validating inputs in VPMS.

• Default Value - The value used by the application in runtime when it has not been changed in VPMS.

• Description - The description that shows up next to the input field in VPMS.

• Order - The vertical order of the input field in VPMS.
