Administering Retransmission Intervals

To administer the intervals at which the local system makes delivery attempts:

  1. Start at the Administration main menu and select:
  2. Global Administration
    Messaging Administration

    The system displays the SSH User Authentication dialog box. Enter your login, for example, sa or vm, in the User name field and your password in the Password field. Click Login. The system then displays the AUDIX Command Prompt screen.

  3. At the enter command: prompt, enter change system-parameters features.
  4. The system displays the System-Parameters Features screen.

  5. Press F7 (Next Page) twice to display page 3.
  6. Move the cursor to the RESCHEDULING INCREMENTS FOR UNSUCCESSFUL MESSAGE DELIVERY field.
  7. Enter a number for the amount of time the local system waits before attempting to retransmit messages, in the Incr 1: through Incr 10: fields.
  8. Press F3 (Enter).
  9. Continue with Activating the AMIS Feature Parameter Changes.
