Remote administration from inside an intranet firewall

This topic describes how to access the INTUITY AUDIX LX using a PC web browser inside your intranet firewall.

To access your system:

1. Using a PC inside your intranet firewall, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape.
2. In the address field, enter one of the following:
   • http://server.domain

     where server is the name of your system and domain is your company's domain name. For example, http://lx1.avaya.com.

   • http://ipaddress

     where ipaddress is the IP address of your system.

3. Press Enter. 

The security notice page displays.

4. Click Continue.
5. Enter your login, for example, sa or vm, in the Username field and click Login.
6. Enter the password for your login in the Password field and click Login.

The system logs you in and displays either the Messaging Administration main menu or the SSH User Authentication Dialog Box for the AUDIX Command Prompt screen, depending on the login you used.
