Configuring the Enhanced-List Application

This topic provides information on configuring the Enhanced-List
Application.
Before beginning, you must know:
To administer the ELA server:
- Start at the Messaging Administration main menu and select .
The system displays the
Configure the Enhanced-List Application page.
- In the Shadow Mailbox Attributes/Mailbox
Extension field, type the extension to be used for the shadow mailbox.
- In the Shadow Mailbox Attributes/Community ID field, specify the
number of the community assigned to the shadow mailbox, from 2 to
15. This number must be different than the Enhanced-List mailbox Community
ID. It is recommended that this number be the column number into which
you entered r on the Sending Restrictions Screen. Administer the shadow
mailbox community so that it can send messages to all other communities,
but cannot receive messages from any other community.
- In the Default Enhanced-List Attributes/Class-of-Service field,
specify the class-of-service assigned to the Enhanced-List mailbox
and the shadow mailbox. This COS is used as the default for all Enhanced-Lists.
You can change the class-of-service when you create a list.
- In the Default Enhanced-List Attributes/Community ID field, specify
the Community ID assigned to be used as the default for Enhanced-List
mailboxes, from 1 to 15. This number must be different from the shadow
mailbox Community ID. Administer the Enhanced-List mailbox community
so that it can send messages to all other communities and receive
messages from any community containing subscribers privileged to use
Enhanced-List.
- Click Save
Changes to save the changes on the page. If you have difficulty
saving the data on this page, check the Display Subscriber <shadow_mailbox_extension>
screen to make sure that you are entering the correct information
on Configure the Enhanced-List Application page.
- Click Back
to return to the Administer the Enhanced-List Application page.
