The following alarms are generated by the SW application and indicate a problem with the switch integration:

The system resolves this alarm when the link returns to operation.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 5

Description:

Host name resolution failed. The system cannot match a host name to an IP address. It cannot connect to the system with the host name.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 6

Description:

The switch rejected the INTUITY AUDIX system's session connection attempt. Because of this rejection, the INTUITY AUDIX system cannot communicate with the switch. Callers will need to enter an extension number to reach a mailbox. Also, they are not able to transfer to other destinations.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 7

Description:

The switch failed to send an acknowledgment message to the INTUITY AUDIX system's request for a session connection within the allowed period of time. Because of this failure, the INTUITY AUDIX system cannot establish a link to the switch. If this condition persists, it will lead to a major alarm that indicates that the link is not in operation.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 8

Description:

The INTUITY AUDIX system sent data to the host switch and did not receive an acknowledgment message within the allowed period of time. This condition can be the result of network delays, a loss in LAN connectivity, or problems with the switch that caused it to fail to send the message.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 9

Description:

The switch failed to acknowledge the INTUITY AUDIX system's keep alive message. A keep alive message is a message that the INTUITY AUDIX system sends to the switch during idle periods or after a fixed interval to ensure that the connection is still good. If this condition persists, it will lead to a major alarm that indicates that the link is down.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 10

Description:

The software is experiencing internal errors.

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 11

Repair Procedure:

SW OVERLAN 14

Description:

The switch is sending invalid options to the INTUITY AUDIX system and the options might need to be adjusted on the switch side. The INTUITY AUDIX system cannot establish communication with the switch. Since the link is not in operation, the system is not integrated. Callers need to enter an extension number to reach a mailbox. Also, they are not able to transfer to other destinations.

The link to the switch is not operational because it was removed from operation.

Repair Procedure:

  • The attendant translation initialization failed. The INTUITY AUDIX system is unable to operate the Automated Attendant feature.
  • The trunk translation initialization failed. If DID lines are directly connected behind the INTUITY AUDIX system and these lines are being used as lines to log in to the INTUITY AUDIX system from outside the switch, the calls carried on these lines will fail.
