What's New in INTUITY AUDIX LX

What's New in Release 2.0

This release includes changes to the platform, software, the user interface, and documentation, as well as including new features, and an upgrade from IALXR1.1 to IALXR2.0.

Note: IALXR1.1 included the new hardware platform as described below. The upgrade can occur only from this platform to IALX R2.0.

Platform Changes

Intuity AUDIX LX 2.0 uses an updated hardware platform, the Avaya S3210 or S3210R. This platform is similar to the LX 1000 platform, except for these differences:

  • A faster processor. The S3210 contains a 2 Ghz Intel Celeron processor. Response times are improved during system processes and user interactions with this increase in processing speed.
  • The Intel Dialogic d/41 JCT-LS Combined Media Board 4-port card uses Intel Dialogic system release software, specifically SR 6.1 for Linux. These cards support compatibilithy with Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4.0. The INTUITY AUDIX LX 2.0 on the Avaya S3210R can now support up to 24 ports x 1200 users.
  • A DVD+RW drive.

Important!

Avaya has tested and strongly recommends using Verbatim DVD+RW single-sided 1X-4X 4.7 GB media to back up system data. Using DVD+RW media from other manufacturers may cause problems backing up or restoring system data. An average of 70,000 subscribers with voiced names can be stored per DVD during an attended backup.
