Tips for Using This Help System
- Buttons that appear in the Help:
- TOC. Click the TOC button to view the entire contents of the Help system on the left pane of the browser. The TOC button displays categories of information in this Help system. When you select a main category, the topic is viewed in the right pane of the browser.
- INDEX. Click the INDEX button to display a multilevel list of keywords and keyword phrases. Select the letter of the alphabet at the top of the screen that corresponds to the first letter of the term you are looking for. The system takes you directly to the list of entries that begin with that letter. These terms are associated with topics in this documentation Help system, and they are intended to direct you to specific topics according to your way of working. Keywords are cross-referenced in the topics to provide multiple ways to locate information. To open a topic in the right pane associated with a keyword, select the keyword in the Index and then click the blue number at the end.
- Search. The search engine searches for text in this documentation set only. For best results, enter just one or two words. The search of the entire document set can be quite time consuming, especially if you are accessing the document set from a web site. If possible, use the Quick Search or search a specific topic type.
- Use the scroll bar at the right to scroll down the page so that you can read the rest of the topic.
- Link. A link is a navigation device. Links allow you to move quickly to another area of the current file or to another file in the Help system. Links are indicated by blue underlined text. With a single click, links can take you to graphics, procedures, or tables. Links can also take you to other areas of text where you will find related information. Move your pointer over any part of the blue underlined text. The pointer changes to a finger. Click anywhere in the blue text to activate the link.
- When viewing the Help, you can maximize the Help window of your browser or resize it for easy viewing.
