
Categories of features
There are three categories of features:
- Base features are part of the standard software packages you receive when you purchase the base system. Examples of base features include Web Administration, alarm administration, and the service creation environment.
- Licensed features require right to use (RTU) licensing by channel for the licensed technology. Examples of licensed features include Voice over IP, digital interfaces, and fax.
- Optional features can be purchased separately. Examples of optional features include Adjunct/Switch Application Interface (ASAI), VoiceXML, and computer telephony integration (CTI) data integration process (DIP).
