Only Oracle 8i, 9i, or 10g can be installed locally on the Avaya IR system. For Avaya IR releases earlier than R1.3, the Oracle database software must be purchased from Oracle or one of its vendors. Beginning with Avaya IR R1.3, Oracle database software can be purchased from and installed by Avaya.
Locally installed Oracle database management systems use the JDBC feature to interface with the Avaya IR system.
