An ORACLE database may reside directly on the Avaya IR system. ORACLE databases, as well as other types of JDBC-compliant databases, may also reside on servers outside the system, with access via the LAN. When remote servers are used, an Avaya IR system can interact simultaneously with up to five databases using various database applications. The JDBC feature provides database connectivity and activity on the Avaya IR server and to remote servers. See JDBC database interface feature for more information.
