Data collection feature

Data Collection is a base feature.

Using this feature

The Data Collection feature provides support for collecting speech samples for application debugging and for building model applications for Natural Language Speech Recognition (NLSR).

To begin data collection, edit the file /vs/sproxy/cfg/OPSR#.cfg to include the entry DataCollection=yes, then stop and start the voice system. Once the voice system starts, data collection will happen for all calls.

Caution:
The data collection files can be very large and the processing involved with data collection can adversely affect performance of the target system. Use data collection only for application debugging, then stop data collection.

To stop data collection, edit the file /vs/sproxy/cfg/OPSR#.cfg in one of the following ways, then stop and start the voice system:

Use data collection by implementing the following proxy external functions in TAS applications:

For VoiceXML applications, data collection will be turned on for all calls when DataCollection is set to yes. There is no control over data collection for individual calls when using VoiceXML.
