Description

This package provides the software required for text-to-speech functionality in Avaya IR voice applications communicating with systems running MRCP-compliant text-to-speech engines.

The AVmrcptts package requires the following:

• IR Release 1.2.1 Service Pack 1 (AV1-2-1SP1) or later.
• The Speech Proxy Base Software package (AVsproxy)
• Proxy Text-to-Speech package (AVttsprxy)
• Vendor TTS software that supports MRCP (installed on a separate server).

In IR R2.0, MRCP implementation on the Avaya IR system extends support to the TTS engines of Scansoft and Nuance using the MRCP protocol. This support is in addition to IBM WebSphere Voice Server (WVS) for Multiplatforms V5.1 aldready supported, since Release 1.2.1 or later. The AVmrcptts package is language independent. It supports all languages offered by vendor TTS engines that are MRCP-compliant.
