Diplay problems in online help pages

Some special characters, such as the trademark symbol, copyright symbol, and apostrophe, may appear as a question mark in the online help system. This display issue is controlled by the encoding setting in your web browser.

To check or change the encoding setting:

  1. Close the help file.
  2. In the Internet Explorer web browser, select View > Encoding.
  3. Check for selections. UTF-8 may cause display problems, Western European does not.
  4. Select a different language, or select Auto-Detect.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Re-open the help file.
